The Florida Center for the Literary Arts at Miami Dade College promotes reading and writing throughout the year by consistantly presenting high-quality literary activities open to all in South Florida.

The Center works with established and emerging writers from Florida and beyond. Through Center programs, they help students and diverse members of the community deepen their understanding of literature and sharpen their creative writing abilities.

Summer Creative Writing Courses
Writers of all levels will have another shelter from the storms and heat at the Florida Center for the Literary Arts this June. Registration is now open for FCLA’s six-week long creative writing classes, which range in topics from the short short story to environmental writing and memoir to screenwriting.
