SPANISH AUTHORS IN AMERICA

The Florida Center for the Literary Arts at Miami Dade College, America Reads Spanish, the Centro Cultural Español, Books and Books and the Miami Dade Public Library System present the Miami chapter of Spanish Authors in America, a program aimed toward the promotion of Spanish writers in the USA. The plan is sponsored by Spain’s Ministry of Culture, the New York Public Library (NYPL), and the Spanish Association of Publishers (FGEE), and is coordinated by America Reads Spanish (ARS) and the Instituto Cervantes (New York). This initiative brings bestseller Spanish authors to New York and Miami to share their works and writing experiences with the public. The authors make presentations open to  the general public, but also share a session with students of Spanish courses.

Autores españoles en America

America Reads Spanish, el Centro Cultural Español, el Centro Literario de la Florida del Miami Dade College, las Bibliotecas Públicas de Miami-Dade y Books & Books, tuvieron el orgullo de unirse durante 2009 y 2010 para organizar las presentaciones en Miami del programa Spanish Authors in America, una iniciativa que busca promover autores iberoamericanos contemporáneos en los Estados Unidos, para que compartan su obra y sus experiencias literarias con el público.

El plan es patrocinado por el Ministerio de Cultura de España, las Bibliotecas Públicas de New York (NYPL), y la Federación de Gremios de Editores de España (FGEE), y es coordinado por America Reads Spanish y el Instituto Cervantes (New York).

A partir del este otoño, el programa incorporará su formato de entrevistas virtuales y encuentros en Miami y New York con autores locales.
